Dr. John Martin Evans
(CIHE, FADU-UBA, Argentina)
Profesor Consulto UBA, Arquitecto, graduado y docente de la Architectural Association, Londres, y doctorado en la Universidad Tecnológica de Delft, Países Bajos, estableció en 1986 el Centro de Investigación Hábitat y Energía Investigador especializado en eficiencia energética e integración de energías renovables en edificios. Vice-Decano del Bouwcentrum International Education, Rotterdam, recibió premios por sus aportes a la investigación en energías renovables en arquitectura ‘Pionero en Energías Renovables’ WREN, World Renewable Energy Network, Premio ‘Vitruvio 2003, a la Investigación en Arquitectura’, y en concursos internacionales de proyectos, fue Prometeo Senior 2012-2014 en innovación académica, de la SENESCyT, Ecuador. Consultor en diseño bioclimático y acondicionamiento natural, eficiencia energética y certificación de Edificación Sustentable, fue asesor del proyecto del Aeropuerto Ecológico Seymour, Islas Galápagos, Ecuador, y del proyecto y certificación de Tetrapak Argentina, ambos LEED Gold 2014. Secretario Técnico de IRAM, dirige actualmente la Maestría Sustentabilidad en Arquitectura y Urbanismo, Secretaría de Posgrado, FADU-UBA.
PhD. Lucelia Rodrigues
(UoN, Inglaterra)
Professor Lucelia Rodrigues is Chair of Sustainable and Resilient Cities in the Faculty of Engineering, University of Nottingham (UoN). Lucelia is a passionate, global leader in the resilience of communities and buildings in a changing climate, involved in several major sustainability projects focused on energy, carbon management and comfort. She is Deputy Director of the University of Nottingham Energy Institute, and Founder and Director of Transport, Mobility & Cities @Nottingham, an initiative bringing colleagues from all faculties together to tackle the challenges our cities face working with industry, authorities and catapults. Prof Rodrigues also runs the MArch in Architecture and Sustainable Design masters programme. She is the first female professor in the 178-year history of the Department of Architecture and Built Environment (Est. 1843 as Nottingham Government School of Design).
Arch. and Urb. Renata Gilio
(KAAN Architecten, Holanda)
Renata Gilio is general director at KAAN Architecten with extensive experience in developing and managing complex projects is several countries. She joined KAAN Rotterdam in 2008 after completing two master degrees in Brazil and France, in architecture and urban planning. At her role she founded the Brazilian branch of the office in 2015, and the American branch in 2020. She was involved in all aspects related to all the large scale and innovative complex projects of the office regarding architectural design, context analysis and stakeholder management. She’s a voting member of the Chamber of sustainability Studies for the Government of São Paulo State in Brazil and develops a sustainability research group at KAAN called impaKt that studies academical innovations in sustainable processes.
PhD. Bert Blocken
(Heriot-Watt, UK and KU Leuven, Belgica)
Prof. dr. ir. Bert Blocken (*1974, Hasselt, Belgium) holds a PhD in Civil Engineering / Building Physics (thesis focused on CFD & Building Aerodynamics) from KU Leuven in Belgium. He is Full Professor of Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace Engineering - Aerodynamics) at Heriot-Watt University in Scotland, the United Kingdom, and part-time Full Professor of Civil Engineering (Building Physics) at KU Leuven in Belgium. His main areas of expertise are subsonic aerodynamics, CFD, wind tunnel testing, urban physics, city and building aerodynamics and sports aerodynamics.
He has published 248 papers in international peer-reviewed journals. His h-index values are 77, 83, 98 on Web of Science, Scopus and Google Scholar, respectively. He developed the first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) in urban physics and sports aerodynamics, called "Sports & Building Aerodynamics" on the Coursera platform. According to the 2016 Academic Ranking of World Universities (Shanghai Ranking) & Elsevier, he was among the 150 most cited researchers world-wide both in the field of Civil Engineering and in the field of Energy Science & Engineering. He is listed as 2018-2024 Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate Analytics (Web of Science) in the field of Engineering for production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in Web of Science Core Collection, ranking him in about the top 0.1% researchers in his field according to Clarivate Analytics (https://hcr.clarivate.com/). He was listed as one of 15 engineers world-wide "who mattered in 2020" by Engineering.com (https://new.engineering.com/story/engineers-who-mattered-in-2020). His first paper on COVID-19, ventilation and fitness centers was ranked by Altmetric in the top 0.003% of tracked articles (www.altmetric.com/top100/2020/).
Dra. Silvia de Schiller
(FADU-UBA, Argentina)
Profesor Consulto UBA y Doctora en Diseño Urbano en Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, realizó estudios de Planificación Urbana y Regional, Sociedad Argentina de Planificación, Buenos Aires, y de Especialización en Planeamiento y Vivienda, Bouwcentrum International Education, Rotterdam. Estableció el Centro de Investigación Hábitat y Energía con el Arq. John M. Evans en 1986, y en 1994 el Programa de Asistencia Técnica en Arquitectura Bioambiental. Coordinadora del Programa de Trabajo ‘Arquitectura para un Futuro Sustentable’ de la Unión Internacional de Arquitectos, Región 3 ‘Las Américas’, fue Prometeo Senior 2012-2014, SENESCyT, Ecuador. Asesora a instituciones públicas y privadas, desarrolla proyectos demostrativos en sustentabilidad, innovación y certificación de Edificación Sustentable, coordinó el proyecto Aeropuerto Ecológico Seymour, Islas Galápagos, Ecuador, y asesoró en el de Tetrapak Argentina, ambos certificados LEED Gold 2014. Directora del Proyecto de Investigación UBACyT Interdisciplinario 2017-2019 y Codirectora de la Maestría Sustentabilidad en Arquitectura y Urbanismo, FADU-UBA.
PhD. Widiyani Widiyani
(ITB, Indonesia)
Widiyani graduated from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) in Indonesia with a bachelor's and master's degree in architectural design. After that, she conducted a number of behavioral research studies on transportation services and the informal sector. She received a Ph.D. from TU Eindhoven in the Netherlands in 2018 for her studies on mall purchasing behavior and decision-making. She currently works at the Architectural Design Research Group ITB in Indonesia as an assistant professor. From 2021 until the present, she offers a bachelor's-level course on social experimentation and placemaking. By emphasizing her human-centered qualities, placemaking becomes her current main focus. Through a few papers and student projects, she expands the knowledge of placemaking. She creates a placemaking platform center for the Indonesian community called "Placemaking Indonesia" on September 15. She will share her experience with developing digital placemaking on SiiS2024.
Arch. and Urb. Guto Requena
(Estudio Guto Requena, Brasil)
Is a Brazilian architect and designer (Sorocaba, Brazil, November 27, 1979). He graduated in Architecture & Urbanism from the São Carlos Engineering School, a faculty of the University of Sao Paulo, in 1999. Guto Requena is the Creative Director of the Estudio Guto Requena, working on objects, interiors, architecture and cities. He founded Estudio Guto Requena in 2008 and has since acted as a design consultant, writer and professor in addition to developing interior architecture, interactive installations and product design. Requena is representative of a new generation of architects and designers involved in the discussion of interactivity and its effects on architecture and design; his work focuses in new digital technologies, cyberculture, hybrid realities, new lifestyles, affective memory and Brazilian culture. His interest in this field led him to work during nine years as an integrant of the research group “Center of Interactive Living Studies of the University of São Paulo - USP”, which in its turn led him to a master's degree at USP and respective dissertation. He taught project design at Panamericana – School of Arts and Design – and at IED – European Institute of Design, in São Paulo – at both graduation and master levels.
Frank Osorio Abadía
(Viceministro de Ordenamiento Territorial - MIVIOT, Panamá)
Arquitecto egresado de la Universidad de Panamá, posee dos maestrías una en Arquitectura Sostenible de la Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña y otra de Administración y Dirección de Empresas de la Universidad de Chile.
Cuenta con más de 15 años de experiencia en la gestión de proyectos de construcción, en los que ha liderado equipos multidisciplinarios durante la planificación, diseño y ejecución de proyectos.
Desde 2022 se desempeña como consultor en Infraestructura Social para el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID), desde donde apoya en la ejecución de programas del sector social con la contraparte gubernamental en Panamá, Uruguay, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Surinam, Paraguay, entre otros.
Además, ha ocupado diversos cargos en la firma de construcción Ingeniería R-M, S.A.
Dr. Francisco Neto
(IFSP - São Paulo, Brasil)
Professor Doutor de Engenharia Civil e do curso técnico em Edificações do IFSP campus Caraguatatuba em São Paulo, Brasil. Pós-Doutor em Segurança Hídrica (Centro de Ciencia y Tecnología de Antioquia - Colômbia) e Geografia (Universitat de Barcelona - Espanha), Doutorado com período sanduíche (University of Strahclyde - Escócia) e Mestrado em Ciências da Engenharia Ambiental (EESC-USP), Especialização Profissional em Análise de Risco Ambiental (FEM-UNICAMP), Arquiteto e Urbanista (IAU-USP), Formação Pedagógica de Docentes para Educação Profissional de Nível Médio (IFSP campus São Paulo). Pesquisa aprimoramentos de instrumentos e de legislações urbana e ambiental, com enfoque na gestão integrada dos recursos hídricos. Coordena o grupo de pesquisa Povo e Mar, onde desenvolve projetos de extensão e aplica tecnologias sociais no fomento da autogestão territorial de comunidades tradicionais em regiões costeiras.
Dr. Jorge Isaac Perén M.

Doctor, Arquitecto y Urbanista, consultor en Diseño Sostenible. Posdoctorado en la Universidad Tecnológica de Eindhoven (TU/e), en los Países Bajos. Recibió su Ph.D. tanto en el Departamento de Ambiente Construido de la Universidad Tecnológica de Eindhoven (TU/e), como en el Departamento de Ingeniería de Construcción Civil de la Escuela Politécnica de la Universidad de São Paulo (USP), São Paulo, Brasil, en Aerodinámica y ventilación de edificios impulsada por el viento. Recibió sus títulos de Arquitecto y Urbanista y Maestría en la Escuela de Ingeniería de São Carlos de la Universidad de São Paulo (EESC/USP), en São Carlos, Brasil. Ha producido más de 50 artículos en revistas indexadas internacionales y nacionales; como la revista Building and Environment y el Journal of Wind Engineering and Industrial Aerodynamic. Es Presidente del Estudio JIP Arquitectura, Urbanismo e Ingeniería S.A. Es fundador y director del grupo multidisciplinar de investigación SusBCity y editor jefe de la revista SusBCity. Actualmente es el Investigador Principal (IP) del proyecto de investigación y desarrollo MUVEE PANAMA. Es Expresidente de la Sociedad Panameña de Ingenieros y Arquitectos – SPIA y de la Junta Técnica de Ingeniería y Arquitectura – JTIA 2023-2024.

Daniela Gallo Enamorado, Dra. en Ciudad, Territorio y Sustentabilidad, Mtra. en Administración de Proyectos, Lic. en Arquitectura. Director de la Empresa Lean BIM América y docente universitario a tiempo horario, profesor invitado en programas de educación continua de la Universidad de Chile, Tecnológico de Monterrey y Cámara Colombiana de la Construcción CAMACOL. Presidente y fundador de la Organización sin fines de lucro ASNBIM (Asociación Nacional BIM Bolivia). Su investigación actual está enfocada en procesos de simulación, Inteligencia Artificial y BIM para la predicción de operaciones de construcción mediante el entendimiento e interpretación de factores de incertidumbre.
H.D. Graciela Hernández

Arquitecta y activista política, combina su experiencia técnica con un compromiso profundo hacia el desarrollo social. Es diputada del circuito 8-4 de la Asamblea Nacional de Panamá y miembro fundadora del partido Movimiento Otro Camino (MOCA), donde ha ejercido como Líder Nacional desde 2020.
Con una Maestría en Arquitectura de la Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña y una destacada trayectoria profesional, es Socia Fundadora de Studio G73 Arquitectas y Gerente Comercial de ITESA, empresa líder en diseño y construcción con más de 25 años de experiencia.
En el ámbito social, ha liderado iniciativas como presidenta de Operación Sonrisa Panamá y ha sido galardonada en múltiples ocasiones por sus proyectos arquitectónicos en los premios MOA SPIA. Como emprendedora, promueve el bienestar a través de Mandalas by Grace. Recientemente, fue designada Secretaria General de MOCA, reforzando su visión de un Panamá más inclusivo y sostenible.
